Israel is a Victim of Syria after Rockets are Sunk into Sea of Galilee
Article content JERUSALEM - - The Israeli military claims to have destroyed a rocket launcher in Syria in response to two missiles that sank into the Sea of Galilee.
Article content The army said in a statement issued late on Wednesday that the area that was around the rocket launcher was targeted by Israeli artillery.

The rockets appeared to be errant fire from battles between Syrian government forces and rebel groups close to the border with Israel.
Article content The military says in a statement that it "will be adamant against any attempt to compromise Israeli sovereignty and the safety of its civilians."

The Israeli military earlier this week destroyed a Syrian fighter plane, which it claimed violated Israeli airspace. Israel also activated its aerial defence system on Monday in response to missiles fired by Syria.
